This is Chico. He was adopted from Lucky Dog Rescue at our last meet and greet adoption day at the Funny Fur River Oaks store. He came back with his new owners to get a Buddy Belt dog harness and leash!

Take Your Dog to Work Day (TYDTWDay) is just around the corner! First celebrated in 1999, this year marks the 14th anniversary of TYDTWDay. On Friday, June 22, 2012, thousands of good little doggies across the US will get to spend the day with their owner(s) at work to celebrate the human-canine bond and help promote pet adoptions.

We are excited to announce the grand opening our new Funny Fur dog boutique in Houston, Texas at the Lamar River Oaks Shopping Center in early May. This will be our flagship store, featuring a wide array of trendy dog clothes along with a huge selection of dog accessories, dog toys, pet furniture and dog carriers. We also offer premium pet food, pet dining & bowls, natural pet supplements, grooming and spa items for dogs, etc.
This new location will be double the size of our first store and will allow us to offer more high fashion designer dog clothes and must have dog accessories, along with premium and all natural pet foods and treats, and all natural and holistic pet health supplements. Foods will include raw pet food, kibble, canned, freeze dried, dehydrated, and specialty treats from premium brands like Nature’s Variety, Stella & Chewy’s, The Honest Kitchen, and Primal, just to name a few.
Our grand opening celebration party will feature fun pet activities, events, door prizes, and huge giveaways – prizes include thousands of dollars worth of specially made dog accessories and $1000 in gift certificates. Shop for a good cause! You can help the furry victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan by entering “HELPJAPAN” at checkout on your next order. Funny Fur will donate 10% of proceeds to Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support (JEARS), a coalition of three no-kill shelter groups providing aid in Japan’s hardest hit areas.
The goal of JEARS is to rescue, reunite, and rehome animals affected by the devastation. Funds raised will be used directly for veterinary care including vaccines, microchips, antibiotics, and medicine, food, cages, and cost of transporting animals.
