4th Annual Dog Day on the Bay

The San Francisco SPCA is having their 4th Annual Hornblower Cruises & Events Dog Day on the Bay on May 4th. The San Francisco SPCA, in conjunction with Hornblower Cruises & Events hosts a nautical adventure for dogs and their humans. “Dog Day on the Bay” is an elegant, two-hour champagne brunch cruise, with gourmet cuisine and impeccable service for guests and their furry first mates. Guests enjoy spectacular views of San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge during this one-of-a-kind experience. All proceeds from the event benefit the homeless dogs and cats at The SF/SPCA. Attendance has tripled over the last three years, with close to 300 humans and 200 dogs in 2007, prompting a move to Hornblower’s largest vessel, The San Francisco Belle, in 2006. For 2008’s cruise, they are expecting 400 guests and their canine companions.

The San Francisco Belle will depart from Pier 3 on the Embarcadero, San Francisco. Boarding begins at 11:00am, departure is at 12:00pm, and return is 2:00pm. Tickets must be purchased in advance through Hornblower Cruises and Events at www.hornblower.com. $140 per adult, $50 per child 12 and under, children under three and dogs cruise free. There is a limit of one dog per adult and pets must be at least six months old. Celebrate 140 years of SF/SPCA service to the community!

High end dog boutique FunnyFur.com has sent them some really cool prizes (Plush Car Dog Bed and novelty dog toys by Haute Diggity Dog) for the raffle prizes. Good luck on winning some goodies and thanks for helping the animals!
